About Family Planning Association of Nepal (FPAN)
Established in 1959, the Family Planning Association of Nepal (FPAN), a member association of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), a major partner of the Government of Nepal’s national family planning program, contributing larger number of all FP services in Nepal annually, is Nepal’s first national sexual and reproductive health service delivery and advocacy organization. FPAN works across 37 districts to provide critical health services to poor, marginalized, socially excluded, and underserved (PMSEU) communities, including sex workers, people living with HIV (PLHIV), LGBTI people, injecting drug users, men who have sex with men, migrant workers, and survivors of gender-based violence (GBV).

Job Description
  • Lead to develop strategies to foster women’s empowerment and gender equality in SRHR areas in close coordination with other divisions and sections at FPAN and relevant partner organizations and International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).
  • Establish functional partnership with organizations working for empowerment and gender equality of women and youth.
  • Develop gender sensitive indicators to be helpful to design, develop, monitor and evaluate women empowerment and gender equality program.
  • Develop/design/implement women/youth empowerment and gender equality program for ensuring SRHR of women and youth to be implemented at national, subnational and local level.
Job Specification
  • Master degree in gender studies/public health/sexual reproductive health/community empowerment/sociology/international development.
  • Minimum  three years’ experience in women empowerment and gender equality program in reputed international and/or national institutions
  • Demonstrated commitment to issues and programs in gender equality and women’s empowerment.  
  • Age limit 35 years (at the end of April 2019)
